Mr. Outside!
Eric Palmer rode the high line to his second straight Sportsman victory, taking advantage of a
restart with five laps remaining in the 25-lap feature.
A stout Rick Raisner took the lead from Archie Myers III on lap five and appeared to be en route
to his first career FMP victory. However, a lap-20 restart nixed that effort. Raisner and second-running Brian Decker bobbled
in the first turn when the race resumed.
Palmer, 31, simply wheeled his Dave Van Horn-powered Bicknell past Raisner and Decker to take
command and marched on to the $500 payday. “My car had been working on the top,” Palmer offered. “I saw
those guys ‘check up’ down low and I rolled right around them.”
